Can you discuss some of the most common federal crimes that are charged in Florida?
Answer: Most of the common federal crimes involve drug trafficking in various different states throughout the states: transporting drugs from one side of the country to the east coast, the west coast, or through interstate trafficking. Those are probably the most common types of federal crimes that occur here in the state of Florida. Other crimes occur as well: a lot of tax cases, willful failure to file any tax returns, I’ve handled several of those; and some tax evasion cases; and also I’ve dealt with a lot of organized crime-related cases as well.
