What types of traffic tickets do officers write in Florida?
Answer: First of all, the last time I checked, there was a USA Today article, which said more tickets come out of the state of Florida than anywhere else in the country. So I guess in a state that doesn’t have any personal income tax, they love to see revenue from traffic ticket cases because that’s a big funding of the general revenue fund. So, most tickets that we see, hands down, would be for unlawful speed. Following that, there’s a lot of red light, stop sign tickets, as well as careless driving tickets. But definitely at the forefront of this is speeding tickets.
